This is the boat that Peggy grew up sailing on, which we saved from the threat of a watery grave a couple of years ago, but we've been unable to spend much time on it since then. (Mostly because we live in Nashville, and it lives in Conroe.) It's a sad fact, but it looks like we'll have to give it up.

It is a Plastrend Mustang from 1965, built by the same people who produced the Gulf Coasts. This is a diamond in the rough. She's old and dirty and needs some tender loving care. However, she's a real joy to sail, much faster than she looks, and comfortable, with an 8 foot cockpit and flush deck. She doesn't draw much water and has a lot of sail area for her length. In her glory days she was a surprise winner in handicap races...until everyone figured out what her true handicap should be. The cabin is minimal, but can sleep 4. To the best of our knowledge the hull, mast and shrouds are solid.
Work that it needs includes the following:
The sails are new, and in good condition. This is a very nice little boat, and it's in need of some elbow grease to make it back into a gem. But we can't do the work from Nashville, so it needs a good home. At this point, we're paying slip fees for nothing, so make us an offer- all offers will be considered.
